Battered senator to press: “I took a fall, knocked me unconscious”

Bruised and scraped-up, Mitt Romney told reporters that he sustained the injuries that led to him receiving stitches after sustaining a fall which he oddly attributed to CPAC.”

The 72-year-old Republican senator from Utah said that he had to get many stitches in his lip and eyebrow after a fall had knocked him unconscious. Not to mention, a black-eye.

“Went to CPAC, that was the problem,” he explained. “I took a fall, knocked me unconscious, but I’m doing better.” But there may be more to the story.

Off-air NBC News reporter Frank Thorp V claims the mishap occurred while Romney was in Boston.

Sen @MittRomney has a black eye and stitches, says he took a fall while visiting his son in Boston, “I took a fall, knocked me unconscious but I’m doing better.”

Withal, one has to wonder what the real reason for the senator’s injuries is.
