Dear VOA and/or Golden State Times,

I watched a video a couple of days ago. Or maybe it was an audio. Whatever, I had a couple of comments or suggestions after hearing and/or seeing.

One, the announcer said—it seemed like 30 times—that both the political left and the political right hate Golden State, or maybe he said VOA. He gave a reason for what he said was the reason for the left’s opposition: that the station or channel or whatever it is tells the truth whether it is about Trump or some other topic.

But then he didn’t give a reason for the antagonism he was feeling from the right. He just said the “right” (a rather broad brush) hates the station or podcast or channel or whatever it is.

My suggestion: If you’re going to go on and on and on about something like this, I think you need a give a reason for your assertion. There was no statement from your announcer that revealed why everybody on the right hates this news outlet. I, for one, am a conservative and do not hate you, therefore your statement lacks credibility.

The other little item: The announcer (a male with a pleasant voice) went on and on about a personality who he said was part of Fox News. He said the guy’s name was Don Baloney. He proceeded to repeat the name Don Baloney maybe 20 times. Or maybe 30 times. First (or second) of all, there is no Fox personality by that name. However, there is a man named Dan Bongino, who identifies himself as a part owner of Parler and has the danbongino.com website and is a former Secret Service agent. I’m wondering if your announcer was the victim of autocorrect: an app or something that “corrected” Bongino to Baloney. I think this possibility is worth checking out especially since it’s extremely unlikely the man’s name was actually Baloney. Saying “Baloney” so many times detracted from your presentation.

    Sincerely,

    D. Cartwright

    1. IF the Sunni and Shia factions of Islam can set aside their differences for the sake of jihad (“struggle” meaning “(holy) war”), dar al-harb (“region of war”), the world not under Islamic rule, is in for disaster.
Weak, compromising, spineless Western rulers of dar al-sulh (“region of peace”), where treaties are entered into with Muslim states, will be the useful idiots who will for personal advantage sell us out as kafirs (infidels, unbelievers in the Muslim god), non-Muslims who refuse to convert to Islam when confronted.
