Victory in PA!
A judge this morning has blocked the state of Pennsylvania from certifying its election results pending an evidentiary hearing on Friday.
The Honorable Patricia McCullough of the Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania ordered that the state do not take any further steps to certify the results until a hearing with evidence is conducted on Friday.
The lawsuit was brought by Republican lawmakers in Congress who are arguing that the state’s vote-by-mail structure is in violation of the state’s constitution.
Republicans are stating that Act 77, which was signed by Governor Wolf on October 31, 2019, is quote “another illegal attempt to override the limitations on absentee voting prescribed in the Pennsylvania Constitution, without first following the necessary procedure to amend the Constitution to allow for the expansion”.
