Multiple San Francisco schools placed on lockdown after ‘incident’

San Francisco police blocked off streets surrounding Balboa High School and multiple schools in the area went into lockdown around noon Thursday after an “incident,” authorities said.

Police did not elaborate on what had occurred.

The incident took place just before noon and Balboa High School, Leadership High School, James Denman Middle School and San Miguel Early Education School were all placed on lockdown, officials said.
